Greenpeace / Beyond Coal / Bankwatch

Challenge: To powerfully and interactively convey the toxic human impact of coal power at COP24.

Partner: The project was commissioned and developed with Europe Beyond Coal, funded by Bankwatch, and with on-the-ground support and hosting from Greenpeace.

Approach: Involving Good Point’s artist collective, we designed and built an ambitious installation at the flagship UN climate conference (COP). Each of the five sculptures was 3D printed from biodegradable plastic, and based on real affected individuals from around Europe. QR codes led the public to their full stories. COP24 took place in Katowice, a Polish industrial centre in a country still highly dependent on coal power.
